About Chase Park Tennis Courts
Located at 4701 N Ashland Ave Second Floor, Chicago, IL 60640, Chase Park Tennis Courts operates as a tennis court serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 6 amβ11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Chase Park Tennis Courts at (312) 742-7518; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is chicagoparkdistrict.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating stands at 2.7 out of 5 from 14 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Abandoned courts in Chicago. It is just sad to play here.

Courts are in rough shape. Ground is caving in so they would have to completely resurface the courts. But if you just want to practice serves or hit a few balls it gets the job done. Rest of the park is really nice actually

Courts desperately need to be resurfaced. Would not recommend playing with any intensity due to risk of injury.

Pretty simple park but conveniently located on Clark St. Uptown if you like to run on a decent track. The oval is 0.2 miles long, so it's 5 laps to a mile.

Courts have been maintained, although they are due for another resurfacing. The lights are bright and nice courts. Hope they maintain them better than the Welles Park courts which have fallen into disrepair. UPDATE: The courts are disintegrating and some spots have turned into sand, especially by the baseline where most players play from. These courts are dangerous now and I am worried when I play on them that I will twist an ankle or at the very least stumble and fall. They need to be resurfaced for the next season or they may have a lawsuit on their hands.
